What to expect
If you’re spending time in Williamsburg during winter, you can add a spin on the ice at Domino Park. The seasonal outdoor rink occupies Domino Square, part of the park beside the East River.
The setting has a story of its own: this was once the site of the Domino Sugar Refinery. Historic industrial buildings now sit alongside a public park and newer architecture. I’d leave time before or after skating to enjoy the waterfront.
You can make it a group outing even if not everyone wants to skate. The stepped seating around the square offers a place to watch, and skating lessons are also offered during the season.

It can get windy by the water, so I’d bring gloves and a warm, wind-resistant jacket.
