DUMBO’s holiday tree lighting fills the Archway and Pearl Plaza with live performances, seasonal treats and Brooklyn holiday cheer.
What to expect
DUMBO’s annual holiday tree lighting turns the Archway and Pearl Plaza into a neighborhood celebration. Local school students and musicians perform before the countdown to the tree lighting.
Santa, a photo booth, hot cocoa and sweet treats add to the festive atmosphere. The projections and Manhattan Bridge overhead make this feel distinctly different from Manhattan’s better-known tree lightings.
Good to know
- The full celebration runs from 4 to 7 p.m.; the tree is scheduled to be lit at 5:30 p.m. sharp.
- Bring an unwrapped toy or packaged nonperishable food if you would like to contribute to the holiday drives.
- Dress warmly. The event is outdoors beneath the Manhattan Bridge.
