A holiday market inside a department store? Head downstairs at Macy’s Herald Square for Holiday Square, where you can browse gifts and New York souvenirs and pick up something sweet along the way.
What to expect
There’s another reason to explore Macy’s during the holidays: Holiday Square brings more than 20 food and gift vendors to the Lower Level. It’s all indoors, so you can browse even when it’s cold or raining outside.
Look for thick cookies from Levain Bakery, customizable New York souvenirs from Mess Hall, and gifts from the New York Puzzle Company. No Chewing Allowed! has chocolate truffles if you’re in the mood for something sweet.
Past vendors have also included Always Christmas in New York. The selection of stalls can change from season to season.

- Holiday Square is on the Lower Level of Macy’s Herald Square.
- Santaland is a separate attraction on the 8th floor. A visit with Santa requires its own reservation.
