What to expect
New York Comic Con is a major pop culture convention. Browse the exhibition halls for collectibles and merchandise, or join panels where actors and creators talk about movies, TV, and comics. The guest lineup changes each year.
Leave time for Artist Alley, too. Comic artists and other creators present their work here, from prints to their own comics. It’s a lovely place to discover something beyond your usual favorites. Gaming activities and cosplay are part of the experience as well, with fans bringing characters to life through elaborate costumes.
You need a ticket valid for your chosen day. Some activities require an additional reservation, while celebrity photos and autographs usually cost extra. Admission doesn’t automatically guarantee access to every part of the program.
Good to know
I’d check which guests and panels interest you before choosing a day. Not every guest attends every day.
Don’t try to squeeze in everything. Leave space for breaks and time between activities so you aren’t spending the whole day rushing from one line to another.
Comfortable shoes and a power bank would be on my packing list. If you’d like to photograph someone in costume, ask them first.
