Twice a year, New York hosts its popular Restaurant Week, during which participating restaurants offer prix-fixe menus. These set prices give New Yorkers and visitors the chance to try a wide range of restaurants at lower prices.
What to expect
Hundreds of restaurants across New York City offer brunch, lunch, and/or dinner at special prices during Restaurant Week.
Depending on the restaurant and meal, prices are fixed at $30, $45, or $60. Compared to the regular prices at many restaurants, these deals can be a real bargain, which is why Restaurant Week is one of the most popular events among New Yorkers.
Restaurant Week takes place twice a year, once in summer and once in winter. Despite its name, Restaurant Week lasts much longer than just one week and usually runs for almost three weeks.
Every year, more and more restaurants take part, giving visitors a huge selection across all five boroughs. Participating restaurants include both well-established spots and newer places. Popular restaurants have included names such as:
- La Petite Boucherie
- Rosemary’s
- Tao Uptown
- Smith & Wollensky
- Dos Caminos
- Delmonico’s
- and many more.
In total, more than 600 restaurants take part in Restaurant Week. You can view the full list of participating restaurants online.
On the official promotion page, you can easily filter by meal, location, and cuisine. You can then view the offer and menu of your chosen restaurant. Reservations can usually be made directly through OpenTable, or you will be redirected to the restaurant’s own website.
