Ride New York’s historic red subway cars and visit the normally closed Old South Ferry station on this special outing with the New York Transit Museum.

What to expect

The Redbirds carried New Yorkers from 1959 to 2003. On this special trip, the vintage cars return for a round trip from Old South Ferry to the Bronx, including a ride through a train yard.

Before departure, there is time to photograph the train and look at the station’s original mosaics and terracotta details. The outing brings together a vintage subway ride and a glimpse of a station that is usually off limits.
