Golden lights, decorated trees, and a giant illuminated hot-air balloon: Shine Bright brings holiday sparkle to Hudson Yards, both indoors and outside.
What to expect
Even while holiday shopping, it’s worth looking up. A giant illuminated hot-air balloon hangs in the atrium at The Shops at Hudson Yards, surrounded by strings of lights and decorated trees. The decorations continue outside around Vessel, so you can browse the shops and then head outdoors to enjoy more of the display.
Shine Bright is a holiday light display you can explore at your own pace, and visiting is free. Depending on the season, additional activities such as Santa visits or live performances have their own schedules. If you want to combine your visit with Edge or a climb up Vessel, you’ll need separate tickets for those attractions.
Good to know
- I’d visit in the late afternoon or evening to enjoy the outdoor lights after dark, too.
- Look at the decorations from another floor inside the shops for a different perspective on the hot-air balloon.
- The indoor display follows the shops’ opening hours. Check them before visiting, especially on holidays.
