During the warmer months, Edge turns into an outdoor yoga studio with one of the most spectacular backdrops in New York. As you move through the class, you get sweeping views over Manhattan, including the Empire State Building and One World Trade Center.
Sky-High Yoga is one of those New York experiences that is popular with locals and visitors alike. It is hard to imagine a better place to start the day with a yoga session!
Whether you practice regularly or are completely new to yoga, the class is beginner-friendly. The real challenge is not the balance, but keeping your eyes closed with a view like this.
Good to know
- Participants must be 16 or older.
- Tickets are usually released on the last Friday of the month for the following month. For example, if you want to attend a July class, you need to book on the last Friday in June. The queue opens at 12:00 PM New York time. Be on time because spots sell out quickly.
- If there is strong wind or rain, the class usually moves indoors on the platform instead of being canceled.
- Entry and check-in: Doors open 30 minutes before class starts. Check-in is at Quin Bar with Priceless on the 5th floor of the shopping center.
- Bring water. A yoga mat is provided, but nothing else. Bags must be checked at the coat check.
- After the 45-minute yoga session, you can stay on Edge for another 30 minutes, which is perfect for enjoying the view without the usual crowds.
- Even in summer, it can be cool and windy on Edge early in the morning. Dress a little warmer so you can enjoy the class comfortably.
