NYC DOT turns Open Streets and plazas across all five boroughs into car-free Halloween celebrations with performances, games, and family activities.
What to expect
Trick-or-Streets is not one event in one place. Throughout October, neighborhood organizations host harvest and Halloween programming on streets and plazas closed to traffic.
Five larger signature events anchor the 2026 program in Brooklyn, Staten Island, Queens, Manhattan, and the Bronx. Dozens of partner events add local block parties, parades, performances, and trick-or-treating across the city.
