What to expect

BINGO! in Bryant Park is a fun, low-pressure summer event right in the middle of Midtown. On Wednesday evenings in June, you can play free bingo outdoors on the Fountain Terrace, with comedian Andy Ross hosting and music by DJ Flip Bundlez.

The setup is simple: grab a bingo card, find a spot, and play along as the host calls out the letter-number combinations. Each round has a different winning pattern, and prizes are awarded throughout the event.

Because it’s free and popular, table space and bingo boards are limited. Cards are handed out on a first come, first served basis, and no registration is required. If you want a seat or a better chance at getting a board early, it’s worth arriving before the official start time.

This is a great easy evening plan if you’re looking for something casual, free, and very New York. You don’t need to be a bingo expert — normal bingo rules apply, and the atmosphere is more about having fun in the park than taking it too seriously.

• The event is held on the Fountain Terrace at Bryant Park, near the park entrance at 6th Avenue and 41st Street.
• Bingo cards are free and distributed first come, first served. No registration is required.
• Each person can receive one bingo card. If you’re picking one up for a friend, they must be present with you.
• Children must play on a team with an adult.
