The Bushwick Collective Block Party is a free street art and music celebration in Brooklyn, bringing live mural painting, DJs, performers, food trucks, and community energy to the streets of Bushwick.
What to expect
The Bushwick Collective Block Party is one of Brooklyn’s biggest outdoor art celebrations. What started as a small neighborhood gathering has grown into a major annual event, drawing street art fans, artists, musicians, and visitors from around the world to Bushwick.
For its 15th anniversary, the block party celebrates the Bushwick Collective’s role in turning the neighborhood into one of New York’s best-known open-air galleries. Artists from New York, across the U.S., and around the world come to paint new murals, adding fresh work to the streets around the Collective.
The day usually combines live painting, graffiti, hip-hop, DJs, MCs, food trucks, local vendors, and a big crowd that turns the area into a full street festival. It’s loud, colorful, packed, and very much rooted in the neighborhood.
Even if you don’t know much about street art, this is a great way to experience Bushwick’s creative energy. Come for the murals, stay for the music, and give yourself time to wander the surrounding blocks, where many of the best pieces are spread out beyond the main event area.
Good to know
The event takes place around the Bushwick Collective, near Troutman Street and Scott Avenue in Bushwick, Brooklyn.
