What to expect
The DUMBO Drop is an annual street festival that raises money for local schools. As part of the spectacle, thousands of mini elephants with parachutes are dropped from the rooftops along Washington Street, with the iconic backdrop of the Manhattan Bridge and the Empire State Building in the distance.
Additionally, you get to enjoy live music , activities, performances and lots of food from the neighborhood. Each bite is priced at $7.
These are the two 2026 Drop times:
- 5PM (get there at 3:30PM)
- 7PM (get there at 5:30PM)
Good to know
- Tickets are required for both drops. Each ticket includes guaranteed access to Washington Street, a cute mini elephant souvenir to take home, and entry into the DUMBO Drop raffle with great prizes.
- It’s still best to arrive about 1.5 hours before your selected drop so you can enjoy the atmosphere and all the activities.
- You will not be catching the elephants yourself. You can pick up your souvenir elephant after the drop.
