Visiting Santa at a department store is a classic American holiday tradition. At Macy’s Herald Square, Santaland takes you on a little trip to the North Pole without leaving Manhattan.
What to expect
Rather than just stepping up to meet Santa, you first walk through a holiday setting that leads you to him. At the end, you can talk to him and pose for a photo together.
The regular visit is free, with photos available to buy separately. There’s also a paid VIP option with expedited entry and extra time with Santa, including a holiday story. A photo package and a plush bear are included, too. You don’t need the VIP ticket to visit Santa, though.
