What to expect
At the SUP Witches Festival in Sleepy Hollow, witches trade their broomsticks for paddles. Wearing witch hats and costumes, they head out onto the Hudson River on stand-up paddleboards. You can watch from the shoreline at Kingsland Point Park.
There’s plenty happening on land, too, with live music, vendors, and food and drinks. So you don’t need to get on the water to join in. You can also combine the festival with a fall day trip to Sleepy Hollow.
Good to know
- You need a festival ticket even if you’re only watching. Admission is $8 in advance or $10 on the day, plus fees. Children under 8 are free with a paying adult.
- Paddling requires separate advance registration, and you should already have paddling experience.
- Children are welcome, and dogs must stay on a leash.
- Take Metro-North’s Hudson Line to Philipse Manor for a short walk to the park.
