The Swedish Midsummer Festival is a little piece of Scandinavia in the middle of New York. We celebrate the longest day of the year with music, dancing, and traditional customs.

What to expect

Between flower crowns, Swedish treats, and a cheerful summer atmosphere, the festival almost feels like a quick trip to Sweden.

At the Swedish Midsummer Festival, you can expect a colorful program full of traditions, music, and summer vibes:

  • Make flower crowns: Create your own traditional flower crown with fresh flowers, while supplies last.
  • Games and activities: Throughout the park, there are hands-on activities and classic games for kids and adults.
  • Music and procession: Look forward to live music and a festive procession with Swedish sounds.
  • Swedish market and food stands: Discover traditional Swedish specialties, sweets, and handmade products.
  • Dancing around the maypole: The highlight is dancing together around the midsummer pole. It is cheerful, relaxed, and easy to join in.
  • Afterparty with DJ: To close out the day, the festival turns into a small summer party with a DJ.
